A driver in his first season of Formula 3, Pedro Clerot will start from the front row on the Sprint grid for the penultimate round of the championship, scheduled to take place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Italy. In a group-based qualifying held on Friday (4th), the Brazilian Rodin Motorsport driver finished sixth overall, earning the second spot to begin the race on Saturday.
Owner of car number 17 joined the second group of drivers to take to the track during qualifying. Since the pole position emerged from that group, Clerot and all the other drivers were placed on the odd-numbered positions of the grid on Sunday, leaving him in 11th place and starting from the sixth row. In the inversion of positions among the top 12 for the Sprint, the first-ever champion of F4 Brazil finished in second place.
“Today was a decent day. We finished sixth fastest in our group after only one quick lap. So we’ll start from the second position tomorrow and 11th on Sunday. I’m confident with the team, so we’ll go all out for the races,” said Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.
Currently tenth in the championship, Clerot has three podiums and four top-5 finishes, in addition to seven races finished in the points in Formula 3. More than that, the driver aims to climb the championship standings in the final rounds of the 2026 season.
Formula 3 continues the Italian round on Saturday (5), with the Sprint scheduled for 4:30, while the main race is set for 3:15 on Sunday. Both events will be broadcast on F1TV.
