F2 defines the starting grid for the fourth round of the 2026 season this Friday (the 5th) on the street circuit laid out in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The event will employ a qualifying format unlike the rest of the year, with drivers divided into two groups to set the grids for the weekend’s two races.
A draw determined that drivers with cars bearing odd numbers will take the track first. In this group will be Brazilian Rafael Câmara of Invicta Racing. The second group will feature all competitors with even-numbered cars, and it will be at this moment that Emmo Fittipaldi, driving for AIX Racing, will take to the track. Each group will have 16 minutes of track time.
After the two groups’ session ends, the driver with the best time earns pole for Sunday’s race. The fastest from the other group completes the first row in second position. From there, the drivers who were in the pole group’s group start from the odd-numbered positions, with the rest lining up from even-numbered positions.
For the grid inversion aimed at the Sprint race, the first position will be taken by the fifth-quickest driver from the group that lost pole for the main event. The fifth from the other group completes the first row starting from the second position, with the overall fastest on Friday’s classification starting from tenth place.
