The second Formula 1 free practice for the Italian Grand Prix, which took place on Friday morning (the 4th) in Monza, proved stagnant for Gabriel Bortoleto. The Brazilian driver for Audi even managed to improve his time compared to FP1, but he failed to advance with the soft tires and finished the session in 15th place after an engine fault. See how the session unfolded:
Bortoleto went out on track on hard tires, being among the first to leave the pits. After a warm-up lap, he posted 1:24.666. He continued in a sequence of laps, dropping to 1:24.111, coming close to his soft-tire time from FP1, which stood at 1:24.006. He then returned to the pits.

He returned after a quick stop and, still on hard tires, he managed a 1:23.776. He then went back to the pits.

The session continued with the schedule moving forward to the third free practice and the qualifying on Saturday.
