Nicklas Nielsen has signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with Ferrari in “leading international endurance series.”
The 29-year-old Dane has been a part of the crew of the No. 50 Ferrari 499P in the FIA World Endurance Championship alongside Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina since the Italian manufacturer returned to the top tier of prototype racing in 2023.
During that time he was triumphant in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024 and has taken two other victories.
But Nielsen’s relationship with Ferrari extends back to 2018, when he won the Ferrari Challenge Europe title and he also been champion in the WEC’s LMGTE Am division with the Prancing Horse.
Alongside his WEC duties, Nielsen is also currently competing in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup at the wheel of an AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
Nielsen’s Ferrari contract was previously renewed just last September, with that deal also described as multi-year, and it has not been revealed how much longer this latest extension is.
Ferrari’s global head of endurance Antonello Coletta described Nielsen as a “young, reliable and professional driver, and one of the pillars of our endurance program.”
Coletta added: “This contract renewal is simply the latest milestone in his career, and we are confident that his future results will be every bit as significant as those he has already achieved.”
Nielsen said: “I am delighted with this renewal, which is very special to me and, in some respects, feels like a natural step, because I began my racing career with Ferrari.
“It is an honour to continue on this path representing the Prancing Horse.”

Nielsen is the second factory Ferrari driver to have had a contract extension confirmed in recent weeks, following Phil Hanson’s fresh deal being announced earlier this month.
