Cacá Bueno Highlights Curvelo Oval Track Challenges in NASCAR Brasil

September 18, 2026

NASCAR Brasil speeds up this weekend on the oval track at Circuito dos Cristais, in Curvelo (MG), the venue where Cacá Bueno finished in second place last season. The Team RC driver notes that the track’s characteristics make overtaking challenging, even though it is an oval circuit and the category’s car provides substantial tow.

“We left Curvelo last year with a second-place finish, in what was our first weekend racing on the oval and getting to know the track, so the expectations for this second go-around are positive. Racing on the oval is always fun, but it isn’t a simple oval. It has some particular features with a small grade and there isn’t a two-lane line to use, which makes overtaking quite difficult since only the outside section has the incline,” explains Cacá, who is sponsored by Betnacional, Capital Concreto, PicPay, ACDelco, SpeedMax Pneus, Pneu Store, Milwaukee, Turbi and Chevrolet.

A five-time Stock Car champion, Cacá sits sixth in the NASCAR Brasil standings with 94 points and is aiming to climb higher in the rankings. The Minas Gerais round marks the final stop of the regular season before the Playoffs of the series.

The NASCAR Brasil activities in Curvelo will begin this Friday with Free Practice 1 at 3:45 p.m. The second session is scheduled for 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, and the same day features the qualifying at 3:15 p.m. The two races are set for 9:00 a.m. (Race 1) and 2:10 p.m. (Race 2). The event will be broadcast by SBT, ESPN, Disney+ and YouTube.
