NASCAR Brasil will race its sixth round of the 2026 season in Londrina (PR) on August 23. The change occurs due to the closure of the Ayrton Senna International Circuit in Goiânia (GO), which will enter a new phase of modernization works and have its layout completely rebuilt. The Goiano circuit will remain inactive between July and October.
The return of the category to the Paraná circuit revives a track that is part of NASCAR Brasil’s history, the stage for major races and memorable duels over the years. Recognized for its technical layout and overtaking opportunities, the circuit returns to the calendar at a moment that is special for the competition.
For Rubens Gatti, president of the Paraná Automobile Federation, hosting the event reinforces Londrina’s relevance in national motorsport: “It is of utmost importance to receive one of the most relevant categories in national motorsport, highlighted by the most prominent drivers in Brazil. The presence of NASCAR Brasil reinforces Londrina’s tradition in motorsport and further enhances the calendar of Paraná motorsport,” Gatti stresses.
About the track’s characteristics, the official adds: “The circuit is quite selective and presents challenges that require drivers to drive with near-perfection to achieve the best performance. It is a track that always provides great battles and values the talent of the competitors,” he says.
With nine rounds spread across the country, the 2026 season maintains NASCAR Brasil’s plan to strengthen its presence in different regions, valuing historic racetracks and expanding the category’s reach. Before the Londrina race, the next commitment will be at Autódromo Velocitta, on June 27 and 28.
