Marco Bezzecchi was the fastest rider in the session that closed Friday (the 7th) activities for the British Grand Prix, the 12th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. The Aprilia rider clocked his best lap at the Silverstone circuit in 1:56.280, securing the day’s fastest time and placing himself among the ten riders who advance directly to Q2 in the standings.
The second position went to Raúl Fernández, who on a Trackhouse Aprilia finished 0.335 seconds behind Bezzecchi’s time. Fabio Di Giannantonio, on a VR46 Ducati, ended third, followed by Jorge Martín, the championship leader and fourth with the Aprilia. Ai Ogura, from Trackhouse, completed the top-5.

Marc Márquez, aboard a Ducati, ended the session with the sixth-best time, ahead of Álex Márquez, seventh on a Gresini Ducati and quicker than in the first practice. Joan Mir, on a Honda, was eighth, while Jack Miller, on a Pramac Yamaha, took ninth. Pedro Acosta, from KTM, completed the list of the ten fastest.
The only Brazilian on the MotoGP grid, Diogo Moreira finished the session in 15th place aboard an LCR Honda. The rider had even broken into the top ten in the late stages of the session, but was eventually overtaken by his rivals.
With 16 minutes to go, Brad Binder crashed his KTM, causing no stoppage to the Silverstone session. With five minutes left in the session, Francesco Bagnaia crashed his Ducati at turn 6 of the English circuit. Moments later, Pedro Acosta went down at turn 4 on the KTM.

The MotoGP program at Silverstone will continue this Saturday (8), first with free practice at 7:10 a.m. and then with qualifying, scheduled for 7:50 a.m. The Sprint, which will consist of ten laps, is on the agenda for the same day, starting at noon. The British Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, with the race start at 9:00 a.m.
