June 19, 2026

Hakim Danish led Friday’s free practice for the ninth round of the Moto3 World Championship, the Czech Republic Grand Prix. In the final of the two sessions held on the morning at the Brno circuit, the MSI rider clocked a best lap of 2:04.754, unchallenged by his rivals and securing a place in the final phase of qualifying.

The runner-up spot belonged to David Almansa, the Intact GP rider who finished 0.190s behind Danish. Maximum Quiles, the championship leader for Aspar, ended Friday with the third-best time, ahead of Álvaro Carpe, who was fourth aboard an Ajo bike. The top five also featured Joel Esteban, representing MTA.

Scott Ogden, the CIP rider, claimed the sixth-fastest time of the day, placing him ahead of Brian Uriarte, seventh for Ajo. Jesús Ríos, aboard a Snipers machine, ended with the eighth-best mark, while Rico Salmela of Tech3 took ninth. Valentín Perrone, also with Tech3, rounded out the top ten.

The Friday results also determined the 14 riders who advance directly to Q2. In addition to the ten fastest of the day, Matteo Bertelle of MTA, Joel Kelso aboard a GRYD bike, Guido Pini of Leopard Racing, and Veda Pratama of Team Asia secured their places in the final session that sets the starting grid positions.

The Moto3 schedule at Brno will continue on Saturday (the 20th), with another free practice at 3:40 and qualifying at 7:45. The Czech Grand Prix will be contested on Sunday, with a start at 6:00.
