Izan Guevara clinched pole position for the England GP, the 12th round of the 2026 Moto2 season. In the final phase of qualifying held on Saturday morning (8) at the Silverstone circuit, the Pramac rider registered his best lap in 2 minutes 01.483 seconds, earning the top spot for Sunday’s race.
The second position on the grid went to Alonso López, the Gresini rider who was beaten by Guevara by 0.326 seconds. The front row also includes Iván Ortolá, aboard a MSI motorcycle. Leader of the championship, Manuel González starts fourth with Intact GP, followed by Daniel Muñoz in fifth aboard Italtrans. The list of the six fastest also features Filip Salac, from American Racing Team.

Daniel Holgado occupied seventh position with an Aspar, opening a third row that will also include Alex Escrig of KLINT and Joe Roberts of American Racing Team. Ayumu Sasaki, on a RW Racing machine, starts tenth, with Senna Agius of Intact GP in 11th. The group of the top 12 also includes Celestino Vietti of SpeedRS Team.
The session was interrupted by a red flag with just over eight minutes remaining, when Mario Aji and Zonta van der Goorbergh collided, with Aji suffering a heavy crash in the Maggots, Becketts and Chapel complex. The riders walked away from the accident site and the action resumed shortly after.
The Moto2 British Grand Prix will be contested this Sunday, with the start scheduled for 7:15, covering 17 laps.
