Brazilian young driver Arthur Gama will take another significant step in his international career by competing on June 5 and 6 in a NASCAR round in the United States for Sellers Racing, a traditional North American motorsport outfit dedicated to developing young talents.
The participation is part of Arthur’s process of adapting and growing within the U.S. motorsport scene, currently regarded as one of the most competitive and strategic markets in world motorsport.
The driver has been supported by Sellers Racing since the start of this year, following a recommendation from NASCAR champion and consultant to Joe Gibbs Racing, Bobby Labonte, who identified Arthur as one of the promising names of the new international generation.
HC Sellers, the team’s owner, highlighted the Brazilian’s progression and the expectations for this opportunity: “We are very excited to welcome Arthur to Sellers Racing for this race. Since Bobby Labonte introduced him to us at the start of this year as an up-and-coming talent, we have been closely monitoring his development. Arthur has the right mindset and an excellent work ethic, and we believe this will be an important step in his growth within American motorsport.”
For Arthur Gama, competing in the United States represents the fulfillment of an important objective in his racing career: “This is a very special opportunity for me. Competing in the United States, within the NASCAR environment and alongside a team like Sellers Racing, is something I have been working toward for a long time. I am highly motivated to learn, to evolve quickly, and to represent Brazil in the best possible way.”
Beyond the on-track experience, the program is also part of a mid- to long-term plan focused on developing the driver within the North American scene, expanding the experience he has already gained in the Nascar Brasil category, driving cars in the Nascar American category on highly competitive circuits.
Arthur Gama’s participation also reinforces the growing presence of Brazilian drivers in international motorsport and opens new prospects for future opportunities within American motorsport.
