NASCAR Brasil arrives in Chapecó this weekend for three races scheduled on Sunday, November 1. On a new oval for all the drivers, Galid Osman will face the challenge of collecting important points to stay in the title contention, while Ricardo Zonta will also be on the grid, even without a playoff berth.
Galid secured his qualification by finishing the previous phase in eighth place. The 12 drivers who advanced receive 20 extra points, but the battle remains tight. To reach the final stage with title chances, the São Paulo driver must end the playoffs among the top six in points.
“In the playoffs the situation changes, so only victory counts if we want to keep title chances. We have three races this weekend and a lot of points at stake, on a track that is new to everyone. I’m excited to represent Shell in this NASCAR Brasil round.”

“Having new tracks on the calendar is always important, especially in Santa Catarina, a state that will inaugurate its first new circuit in Chapecó. It will be a fresh challenge for everyone, even more so on an oval. Our expectation is to achieve a strong result.”
The weekend’s program begins on Friday with the first free practice. The second session will be held on Saturday, and Sunday concentrates on qualifying and the three races. In the time trials, each driver will have three laps to record his best mark. The first race takes place in the morning, while the other two are contested in the afternoon.
The Sunday activities will be broadcast on NASCAR Brasil’s official channels across social networks.
