F1 News: Red Bull Rejects Billion Dollar Offer from Racing Bulls, Journalist Reveals Latest Formula 1 Team Negotiations

October 9, 2025

Red Bull recently rejected a purchase offer worth $2.3 billion (approximately $12.3 billion) for Racing Bulls, the Austrian brand’s satellite team, which is based in Italy. This information was disclosed by specialized journalist Joe Saward.

According to Saward, Racing Bulls, which has the role of bringing young drivers from Red Bull’s academy to the Formula 1 grid, continues to be a strategic part of Red Bull’s sports project. The close relationship between the two teams is well established in the paddock, and apparently, there is no intention on Red Bull’s part to get rid of the team currently led by Alan Permane and home to Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson.

The journalist also highlighted that this is the highest offer received since August, when a previous offer reached $2 billion. “I was reliably informed that Red Bull recently rejected an offer of $2.3 billion from investors who wanted to buy the Racing Bulls team,” Saward wrote. “The Austrian beverage company receives about one offer per month.”

A similar situation is also observed in other teams on the grid, such as Haas and Alpine. According to Saward, both owner Gene Haas and French manufacturer Renault, which is going through a crisis with Alpine, do not demonstrate interest in selling a stake in their respective teams, maintaining total control of operations in the category.
