Luke Browning and Arvid Lindblad were penalized following the Sprint that opened the tenth round of the 2025 Formula 2 season, held on Saturday morning (2) at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary. Both were punished with a five-second addition to their final race time hours after the end of the race.
The first to be penalized was Lindblad, who gained an advantage by leaving the track at turn 3 of the Hungarian circuit during a battle for position with Victor Martins. As a result, the Campos Racing driver dropped from fourth to tenth place in the final classification.
Browning was penalized for the same reason as Lindblad, having gained an advantage by leaving the track. Curiously, the incident, which occurred at turn 7 of the Hungaroring, also involved a battle with the same Martins. As a result, the Hitech driver plummeted from fifth to 12th place.
The podium of the race remained unchanged, with Josep María Martí winning the dispute, followed by Alexander Dunne and Jak Crawford, who completed the top-3. Martins moved up to fourth, followed by Leonardo Fornaroli. The group of the top ten also included Richard Verschoor, Oliver Goethe, Dino Beganovic, Kush Maini, and Lindblad.
The race that will close the Hungarian round of the Formula 2 will be held on Sunday, starting at 5 am.
