October 30, 2026

Charles Leclerc confirmed Ferrari’s strong form and led the second free practice session for the Mexico Grand Prix in Formula 1, held this Friday (30) at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. After also topping FP1 in first place, the Monégasque driver posted a 1:17.827 and edged Lando Norris of McLaren by a mere 0.103 seconds. George Russell finished third, only 0.003 behind Norris, while Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen completed the top five. Isack Hadjar, Arvid Lindblad, Pierre Gasly, Liam Lawson, and Oscar Piastri rounded out the top 10.

Gabriel Bortoleto faced technical problems with his Audi and finished 22nd and last. The Brazilian lost nearly 47 minutes of the session while the team worked on his car, managing to complete only ten laps and recording 1:20.174. His teammate Nico Hülkenberg finished 15th. The session was also marked by a red flag after an incident between Verstappen and Lawson, as well as mechanical issues that prematurely halted Lewis Hamilton’s participation.
