MotoGP continues its swing through Asia and Oceania this weekend as it hosts the Australian Grand Prix, a race slated for the Phillip Island Circuit. The 18th round of the championship, as is customary, will also include races in Moto2 and Moto3 as the circuit bids farewell to the calendar, which will be replaced by an urban track in Adelaide starting in 2027.
In MotoGP, the competition remains intense between Jorge Martín, leading with 355 points, and Marc Márquez, second with 353. The riders from Aprilia and Ducati, respectively, are the two main title contenders. Marco Bezzecchi, with 309, is third, followed by Ai Ogura, fourth with 259, and Pedro Acosta, fifth with 258. Diogo Moreira has 74 points and sits 15th.

The competition also remains tight in Moto2, where Manuel González leads with 265.5 points, but Izán Guevara is closing in, accumulating 260 and moving into second place. Iván Ortolá, on 191.5, occupies third, followed by Daniel Holgado, fourth with 170. David Alonso completes the top five with 166.
In Moto3, Máximo Quiles sealed the title in the last round, in Indonesia, reaching 351 points. Thus, the battle now focuses on the runner-up, which today has David Almansa in second position with 217, ahead of Brian Uriarte in third with 198. Álvaro Carpe, on 189, is fourth, followed by Adrian Fernández, fifth with 148.
Because of the time zone difference with Brazil, activities in Australia begin, according to Brasília time, on Thursday night, with the free practice sessions continuing into the early hours. Friday will feature the final practice sessions, the qualifying and the MotoGP Sprint, all in the early hours of Saturday. The races across the three categories will be held on Saturday night, with MotoGP starting at 00:00 on Sunday. ESPN and Disney+ will show the actions.
