The family of the four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen has welcomed a new member, this time a four-legged one. Victoria Verstappen, sister of the Red Bull Racing driver, confirmed that the Dachshund puppy, Joe, has arrived at their new home.
At the end of August, Victoria had announced that the family was about to welcome a dog, but she had not yet revealed the name nor officially confirmed the breed. Now, images shared by her show that the puppy is a dachshund and named Joe.
In an Instagram post, Victoria appeared inside the car with the dog beside her mother, Sophie Kumpen. When introducing the new member, she wrote: “We brought our dog home. This is Joe, the new member of our family. We are already completely in love with him. Welcome home, little Joe!”
After the arrival, the puppy seems to have quickly adapted to the new environment. Victoria posted several videos of Joe running around the house, while her children also had immediate contact with the dog and appear to be playing with him.
Victoria has three children with her husband, Tom Heuts: Luka, Lio and Hailey. With Joe’s arrival, the family gained another member, something she had been eagerly anticipating since the earlier announcement.

At the time, Victoria had shared her anticipation for the arrival of the animal: “We’re getting a dog soon. I’m really excited and perhaps a little nervous, but we can’t wait.” Now, the wait is over, and Joe is officially part of the Verstappen family routine.
