June 28, 2026

Ai Ogura won this Sunday (28) the Dutch Grand Prix, tenth round of the 2026 MotoGP season, held at the Assen Circuit. The Trackhouse rider, the satellite team of Aprilia, had dropped to sixth early in the race after making a mistake, but he regrouped, worked his way through the pack, and passed Raúl Fernández, his teammate, to claim his first career victory in the category.

The second position went to Fernández, winner of the Sprint and who completed a Trackhouse 1-2 in Assen. Jorge Martín, who led for most of the race, finished on the podium with an official Aprilia. Fabio Di Giannantonio finished the race in fourth place aboard a VR46 Ducati, even after receiving a long lap penalty. Álex Márquez, on a Gresini Ducati, completed the top five.

The race began with Jorge Martín holding the lead even after being attacked by Ai Ogura, who appeared in second, followed by Raúl Fernández. Marco Bezzecchi was in fourth place, followed by Marc Márquez. Joan Mir crashed on the first lap, while Diogo Moreira fell to 21st.

Still on the first lap, Márquez took fourth from Bezzecchi. In the next lap, the Aprilia rider took advantage of Ogura’s mistake to move into third, while the Trackhouse Japanese rider dropped to sixth. Still in the second lap, Bezzecchi crashed heavily, abandoning the race. Shortly after, Ogura returned to fourth.

Martín maintained the lead, always less than a second ahead of Fernández, the second-placed rider. Márquez, in turn, was pressured by Ogura, who had Pedro Acosta with him. Further back, Toprak Razgatlioglu drew attention with an 11th-place position as the sixth lap concluded.

Ogura passed Márquez on the sixth lap, returning to third place, while Fernández closed in on Martín to duel for the lead in the seventh lap, at which moment Acosta overtook Márquez, taking fourth place. Cal Crutchlow went to the pits with the LCR Honda, moving Moreira up to 17th.

On the eighth lap, Márquez passed Acosta, reclaiming fourth. The Spanish KTM rider continued his push and made a braking error at turn 1 at the start of the ninth lap, losing fifth to Francesco Bagnaia. Further back, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Álex Márquez. On the tenth lap, Franco Morbidelli crashed, removing himself from contention.

On lap 10, Bagnaia overtook Márquez, taking fourth place. Up front, Fernández remained close to leader Martín, while Ogura sought to close the gap to the lead pack. Acosta saw his KTM develop a problem on lap 13, dropping down the order. Razgatlioglu went to the pits with issues on his Yamaha.

Another rider facing bike issues was Bagnaia, who left the fast line with his Ducati. Meanwhile, on lap 15, Ogura launched an attack on Fernández in a fight for second place but made a mistake and watched his teammate pull away. Behind, Moreira was on a comeback and running 12th.

With 17 laps completed, Fernández took the race lead, while Martín found himself overtaken shortly after by Ogura, dropping to third. A bit further back, Di Giannantonio, in fifth, pressed Márquez for fourth. On the 20th lap, the Japanese rider overtook his teammate to take the lead of the race.

Di Giannantonio and Márquez shared a corner, and the Spaniard cut across the gravel to take fourth place, while Álex Márquez exploited his brother’s move to advance to fifth. The reigning champion, lacking pace, was overtaken by Enea Bastianini, dropping to seventh. The Tech3 rider, however, made a mistake and watched Márquez pass him.

Di Giannantonio was handed a long-lap penalty for the incident with Márquez. The race continued and Ogura went on to win the event, followed by Fernández and Martín.
