The MotoGP grid for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2026 season, was decided on Saturday morning, at Balaton Park, on the 6th. Marc Márquez secured pole position by setting a 1min36s785 in Q2. Consequently, the Ducati rider will lead the field in both the Sprint and the main race.
The front row will also feature Pedro Acosta, the KTM rider, and Fermín Aldeguer, of Gresini, Ducati’s satellite team. The championship leader, Marco Bezzecchi, starts sixth aboard an Aprilia. Meanwhile, Brazilian Diogo Moreira, racing a LCR-Honda, begins both races from 11th.
The Balaton Park Sprint is scheduled to begin at 10:00 this Saturday, while the Hungarian GP will be contested on Sunday at 9:00.
