Canadian Lance Stroll is expected to participate in Formula 1 activities as normal on Friday after Aston Martin announced that the driver would be absent from Thursday’s Media Day at the Interlagos circuit, following the Canadian contracting a viral infection at the Mexican Grand Prix last week.
According to F1 Jet Tracker, a profile specialized in F1 private jets, Stroll landed at São Paulo Catarina Executive Airport (67 km from the city center) at 19:06 this Thursday, coming from Argyle International Airport, located on the island of Saint Vincent in the Caribbean nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Stroll and Aston Martin had a tumultuous moment in the previous Grand Prix, held last Sunday in Mexico City. The Canadian retired from the race already on lap five. Spanish driver Fernando Alonso also failed to finish the race for the British team.
The first F1 practice session in Interlagos will take place this Friday starting at noon.
