Formula 3 resumed official activity after more than two months. On Wednesday (the 20th), the category’s drivers had the first of two days of testing at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, and Brazilian Pedro Clerot stood out by placing himself among the ten fastest in the day’s combined times in the Rodin Motorsport team’s car.
Clerot, who is making his debut in the category this year and sits eighth in the standings after the opening double-header, was the eighth-fastest in the session held in the morning, clocking 1min20s902, which secured him the ninth-best time of the day after the afternoon session.
“I’m happy to be back in the car today at the Red Bull Ring. It was a very positive day after almost three months away. We’ll have one more day of testing tomorrow before heading to the Monaco round,” said Pedro Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.
Activities at the Red Bull Ring will wrap up on Thursday, when Clerot and the other 29 drivers on the grid will take part in two more test sessions. The next Formula 3 round is scheduled from June 4 to 7, when the series will hold its second event on the street circuit laid out in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
