May 27, 2026

Marc Márquez has confirmed his return for the 2026 MotoGP season, with the Italian GP taking place this weekend from May 29 to 31. The Spaniard missed the last two races of the calendar.

The return of the Spaniard was confirmed through social media on Tuesday (26), although he will have to undergo a new medical evaluation on Thursday, May 28, to confirm his participation in the stage.

The Ducati rider has been out of action since his strong crash in the MotoGP Sprint at Le Mans, which took place on May 8. The multiple champion suffered fractures in his right foot and had to undergo surgery. Márquez also removed a loose screw from his right shoulder that had been causing nerve problems while driving.

Therefore, he was forced to miss the stages in Catalonia, from May 15 to 17, and also the post-stage test that took place at the Circuit de Barcelona.

Back on the grid in Mugello, Marc assures that Ducati will have its two competitors for the home race.
