Exclusive: Unveiling the Retro McIntosh BMW LMGT3 Livery

June 2, 2026

The newest special livery for the No. 69 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, contesting the FIA World Endurance Championship, has been unveiled for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a scheme that honors the manufacturer’s storied involvement in the race.

Under a program launched by driver Anthony McIntosh, the WRT-run LMGT3 entry will carry a distinct retro-inspired design at every World Endurance Championship round.

This latest livery nods to the 1990s by commemorating the BMW-powered McLaren F1 GTR that won Le Mans in 1995, a feat that helped pave the way for BMW’s return to the premier tier of sports car racing and culminate in overall victory in 1999 with the V12 LMR.

The palette draws from the Gulf livery that defined the McLaren works at Le Mans from 1995 through 1998.

“It serves as a reminder of audacious engineering, the era of analog-era racing, and the fearless drivers who handled those machines,” McIntosh described the concept.

Earlier schemes on the car piloted by McIntosh alongside Dan Harper and Parker Thompson have included a 1990s DTM Tic Tac-inspired design and a color motif branded ‘Genuine BMW Parts’.

Heading into Le Mans, the three-driver lineup stands third in the LMGT3 championship after securing victory in the season opener at Imola.
