Ugo Ugochukwu was the fastest driver in the free practice session for the final round of the 2025 Formula 3 season. In the session held in the early hours of Friday morning at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Italy, the Prema driver recorded a best lap time of 1:38.437 in the final moments of the activity.
The second position was taken by Nikola Tsolov, a driver for Campos Racing, who was overtaken by Ugochukwu by 0.128 seconds. Noel León, from Prema, was the third fastest, followed by Callum Voisin, who finished fourth with Rodin. The group of the top five was completed by Theóphile Nael, a driver who defends Van Amersfoort.
Matías Zagazeta finished the training session with the sixth-best mark. The DAMS driver was followed by Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, who finished seventh with Campos Racing, a team that saw Mari Boya finish eighth. Noah Stromsted, from Trident, took the ninth-best time, while Louis Sharp, from Rodin, finished tenth.
Brazilian drivers had timid performances in the first session of the weekend. Season champion Rafael Câmara finished with the 18th-best time with a Trident car. Meanwhile, Fernando Barrichello, also known as Fefo, scored the 27th time with AIX Racing. The driver is making his debut in the category this weekend.
From 10 am, the qualifying session will be held to determine the starting positions for the two races of the weekend. The Sprint race starts at 4:15 am on Saturday, while the main event takes place at 3:15 am on Sunday.
