Ducati officially unveiled the livery it will use in the 2026 MotoGP season on Monday, at an event held in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, a traditional meeting point for the team’s last four presentations. The Italian brand showcased the new Desmosedici GP of Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia, in a historic year that will mark the centenary of Ducati’s founding, celebrated since 1926.
The 2026 livery features a completely redesigned look, with a focus on the matte Rosso Centenario tone and a double white side stripe. The concept recovers elements from the manufacturer’s classic models, such as the Ducati 60 from 1949 and the Gran Sport Marianna from 1955. The team presented the project as a fusion of tradition and performance, reinforcing the importance of the year in the brand’s sports identity.
The event also celebrated the results of 2025, when the Ducati Lenovo Team maintained its dominance by winning its third triple crown in MotoGP, with 13 combined victories and the historic record for points scored by a single rider. For 2026, the team arrives with nine combined titles between its riders, seven for Márquez and two for Bagnaia, forming one of the strongest pairs in the category’s recent history.
Márquez highlighted the importance of this new chapter, stating that 2025 represented a personal and professional rebirth. The Spaniard asserted that the challenge now will be to reaffirm the level shown last year, with his priority being to fully recover his confidence after the injury before fighting for results and titles with Ducati. For him, the goal is clear and direct: to fight for the championship again.
Bagnaia also emphasized the symbolic weight of the season, stating that he left behind a difficult year but one full of learning, and that 2026 will be a special opportunity to regain prominence. He expressed his eagerness for the first tests in Malaysia, highlighting that reuniting with the team will be fundamental to starting strong and fighting for the top positions.
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, celebrated the moment lived by the brand and pointed to recent results as the fruit of a continuous process. He stated that Ducati arrives at its centenary with a work ethic, consistency, and ambition. The Desmosedici GP, according to him, represents the pinnacle of the company’s technological vision.
Luigi Dall’Igna, head of Ducati Corse, added that 2026 will be special not only because of the centenary but also because it precedes important regulatory changes forecasted for 2027. He stated that Ducati wants to continue breaking records, maintain its dominance in the Constructors’ Championship, and fight for the riders’ title.
With the livery revealed, the next stage of the preseason takes place in Sepang, where riders and teams begin their track work between February 3 and 5. The new look is now in sight, and the countdown to the official start of MotoGP is open.
