Manuel González triumphed this Sunday (the 31st) at the Italian Grand Prix, the seventh round of the 2026 Moto2 season. The Intact GP rider lined up on pole at Mugello, contested the lead in the early stages with Iván Ortolá, but began to pull away from lap 11 of the 19-lap race, securing his third victory of the year.
Second place went to Celestino Vietti, the SpeedRS rider who edged Daniel Holgado on the final lap, dropping the Aspar rider to third after a hard-fought duel with Senna Agius in the final metres. González’s teammate finished in fourth, while Filip Salac of the American Racing Team completed the top five.
Alonso López, riding for Gresini, completed the race in sixth after serving a penalty. Izan Guevara, from Pramac, crossed the line in seventh, while Barry Baltus of Fantic Racing finished eighth. Collin Veijer of Ajo was ninth, and Deniz Oncu completed the list of the ten best.
