Liam Lawson says that even though Racing Bulls’ weekend in Azerbaijan in Formula 1 was tough, the team was lucky to score points.
Even with a performance far from ideal on the streets of Baku, the Red Bull sister team still managed to tally points with Arvid Lindblad’s top-10 finish, even with the crash during one of the restarts of the race – the Briton hit his teammate at turn 1.
Assessing the Azerbaijan round, Lawson said, “It was a difficult weekend for the team overall. We faced some difficulties. If everything had run as normal, we wouldn’t have scored. It was a fairly conventional race. We didn’t have the Alpine’s pace, so we were very lucky,” he stated.
“[We suffered] with the pace throughout the weekend. So, it’s something we’ll work on during the remaining three-race sequence,” he added.
