Globo Highlights Return of Formula 1 to Programming Lineup in Upcoming Event Announcement

October 13, 2025

With the impending return of Formula 1 broadcasting, the Globo Group highlighted the return of the top motor sports category on its channels during the upfront, an event focused on the advertising market that took place on Monday evening (13) in São Paulo (SP).

Attendees at the event saw a clip featuring memorable moments from the top category. At the end, a phrase with the words “F1 is back” appeared, accompanied by a racing car with the logos of TV Globo, Sportv, a pay-per-view sports channel, and Globoplay, a streaming service.

The last Formula 1 season broadcast by the Globo Group was in 2020. Since then, the broadcasts of the category have been handled by Band, which will show the races until the end of this year, when the championship will return to the Marinho family’s conglomerate.

For the return to F1 broadcasts, it is known that Globo will air 15 of the 24 GPs of the year on open TV, while all the races, practices, qualifying sessions, and Sprint races will be handled by Sportv, which will have its own team of announcers and commentators.

On Globo, the narrations will be handled by Luís Roberto and Everaldo Marques. Luciano Burti and Rafael Lopes are expected to be the commentators. The reporters have already been defined: Marcelo Courrege, Guilherme Pereira, and Júlia Guimarães, who will take turns throughout the season.

Still with Band, F1 will continue its 2025 season with the United States GP, a race scheduled for the Circuit of The Americas in Austin this Sunday. F1MANIA.NET will follow all the activities of the weekend in real-time.
