New to Formula 3, Pedro Clerot fulfilled the development plans of the Rodin team during the three days of testing in the category in Barcelona, Spain. The Brasilia-born driver completed 190 laps in the accumulated sessions and is confident for his first race in the category in Melbourne, Australia.
“We had three good days of testing. We completed a lot of laps and were able to carry out all our planned programs. We tested many things over the three days and were able to evolve our car well. I’m confident for Melbourne,” says Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.
The first champion of F4 Brazil and a standout in the previous season of FRECA with two wins, seven podiums, and a fourth-place finish in the championship, Clerot will continue with the final activities before his debut.
“We have a few more days of preparation with the simulator and then we’ll head to Australia. It’s going to be important to arrive a bit earlier because of the time zone difference, but I feel well-prepared for our first race,” Clerot adds, who finished the last day of testing in 14th place.
The opening round of Formula 3 will take place on March 7 and 8. It will be the first of ten double-header rounds scheduled on the calendar.
