In the session held in the early hours of Friday (4) at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Italy, the MP Motorsport driver posted his best lap at 1:37.445, leading his team’s trio in the top three.
The team saw Tuukka Taponen take second place, 0.232 seconds behind Giusti’s time, while Mattia Colnaghi ended the session with the third-fastest time. Gerrard Xie, driving a DAMS car, completed the session in fourth, ahead of Ernesto Rivera, fifth fastest with Campos Racing.

Yevan David, of AIX Racing, finished sixth fastest, ahead of Kanato Le, seventh with ART Grand Prix. Noah Stromsted, in a Trident, was eighth, with Nicola Lacorte, from DAMS, finishing ninth. The top ten in the timing sheet of this early-morning session was completed by Bruno del Pino, of Van Amersfoort.
The session was not favorable for the two main contenders for the 2026 Formula 3 title. Championship leader Freddie Slater finished 14th with a Trident. Meanwhile Ugo Ugochukwu, who currently sits second in the standings, was only 23rd in a Campos Racing car.
The two Brazilians on the grid also had modest performances in the lone free practice session of the weekend. With a Rodin Motorsport car, Pedro Clerot finished 12th, while Fernando Barrichello, the driver for AIX Racing, ended the session 26th among the 30 drivers on the grid.

A partir das 9h ocorre a classificação que determinará as posições de largada para as duas corridas do final de semana, marcadas para 4:30 p.m. de sábado e 3:15 p.m. de domingo.
