F3 Champion Rafael Camara Gains 25 Positions to Secure Top-5 Finish in Italy Season Finale

September 12, 2025

The 2025 Formula 3 season came to a close this Sunday (7) with another outstanding performance by Rafael Câmara. The season’s champion delivered one of the best recovery drives of the year at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Italy, starting from 30th position and finishing the weekend’s main race event in fifth place with a Trident car.

In the qualifying session, held on Friday, Câmara would set the best lap time in his group, but was forced to start from third place due to the exclusion of his best lap. On Sunday, the Ferrari Driver Academy member delivered one of the most combative performances, quickly gaining positions and appearing in the leaders’ group, ultimately finishing the race in fifth place.

The result completes an extremely strong season for Câmara: he achieved four victories, all in main races, five podiums, eight top-5 finishes, and five pole positions throughout the season. This performance also allowed Trident to finish the team championship in second place.

“I think from the start of the season, I didn’t want to arrive with the championship still open in Monza, as it’s a very complicated track. Anything can happen here. So, arriving as champion allowed me to drive a bit more relaxed, although I focused throughout the weekend and fought for points,” said Rafael Câmara.
