F2: Emmo Fittipaldi Celebrates Top-10 in Qualifying and Sprint Pole in Madrid

Emmo Fittipaldi, driver for AIX Racing in the 2026 Formula 2 season, celebrated the qualifying result for the 11th round of the year, held on Madrid’s street circuit in Spain. The Brazilian finished tenth in the session on Friday (the 11th), which set the starting grid, and with the grid inversion, he will start from pole position in the Sprint race on Saturday.

The tenth place marks the best performance for the driver, who is in his first year in the main Formula 2 feeder category for Formula 1 this season. Through the team’s social networks, Emmo thanked the crew for the car available for today’s qualifying and expressed his hope to deliver a strong performance on Saturday, aiming for points to climb the standings, where he sits 21st.

“I finished tenth in the main race, which means I’ll start from pole for tomorrow’s race. I’m very excited and want to thank God and AIX for delivering me an incredible car for today’s qualifying. We finally managed to break into the top ten. I hope to have a good race tomorrow,” said Emmo Fittipaldi, who has ten points in the current season.

After qualifying, Formula 2 conducts its two races according to the schedule. The Sprint is set for 9:15 a.m. on Saturday (12), while the main race will start at 6:25 a.m. on Sunday.
