Ferrari unveiled the largest update package of the season among all teams for the Barcelona Grand Prix, held this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Italian squad seeks to close the gap to Mercedes in the standings and reinforces its aggressive SF-26 development strategy for the 2026 season.
The package includes eight updated components, highlighted by a new front wing, in addition to significant changes to the floor, diffuser, and sidepods. According to the team, the alterations were designed to broaden aerodynamic balance and increase the car’s downforce, taking advantage of Barcelona being regarded as one of the most important tracks to evaluate these updates due to its high-speed corners and the strong aerodynamic demands.
Besides Ferrari, other teams also brought updates to Spain. McLaren and Red Bull introduced new front wings, while Mercedes debuted an updated rear wing.
As the runner-up in the Constructors’ Championship, Ferrari arrives riding the momentum of a strong spell from Lewis Hamilton, who sits second in the drivers’ standings after claiming his second consecutive runner-up finish at the Monaco Grand Prix.
