Felipe Malinowski will spend a weekend unlike any other in Curvelo (MG). The HB20 Cup driver will make his first appearance in NASCAR Brasil at this weekend’s stage, taking over Ricardo Zonta’s car, who cannot compete due to personal reasons.
The debut also brings another challenge for Malinowski: it will be his first contact with an oval circuit. Up to now, this type of track has not been part of his career, adding a new experience to the driver’s path.

Even with the change of category, Malinowski will maintain his HB20 Cup schedule. The driver is having a solid season and currently sits in fourth place in the Pro category, juggling the championship bid with his NASCAR Brasil debut.
The opportunity also marks another milestone in Malinowski’s career, who has previously been part of the Shell Academy, one of the most renowned driver development programs in the world. Now, he faces a fresh challenge by substituting Zonta in Curvelo.
