George Russell hasn’t delivered as much as his teammate Kimi Antonelli this Formula 1 season, and Toto Wolff highlighted that Mercedes must assist the British driver in unlocking his maximum potential.
The 20-year-old Italian not only leads the Drivers’ World Championship but has dominated the season. There are eight wins in 14 races and an 81-point lead over his teammate.
And although Mercedes apparently has found a new star in F1, the team principal does not want to give up helping Russell regain his on-track potential.

“We need to figure out what is required for him to unleash his full potential and, of course, there is the psychological side,” he said.
“If you have a streak like his this year, you take a beating, but the great drivers recover, and I believe George has everything he needs to fight for championships.”
