Marc Márquez is the new leader of the MotoGP championship after the San Marino Grand Prix, held this Sunday (the 13th) at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy. The Ducati rider won the race and reached 274 points, tying with Jorge Martín, but holds the advantage by the number of victories, five to one.
Marco Bezzecchi appears in third position with 241 points, and is followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio, fourth with 233. Pedro Acosta completes the list of the five best with 223. Diogo Moreira, who retired from the Misano race after a crash, remains in 14th place in the championship, totaling 64 points.
The MotoGP season 2026 continues next Sunday with the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring.
