Murilo Rocha Arrives at Velocitta Motivated for NASCAR Brasil Round

July 7, 2026

The NASCAR Brasil weekend stage will be contested at the Velocitta circuit in Mogi Guaçu, with Murilo Rocha featuring prominently as he begins his rookie season in touring cars in 2026 and arrives on a wave of momentum after a recent surge in the category.

The schedule kicks off this Friday (26) with free practice. On Saturday, there will be another on-track session and the qualifying, which decides the six fastest entrants into the sprint race — a short event that forms the front three rows of the grid. On Sunday, Race 1 is scheduled for 9:00, lasting 23 minutes plus one lap, and Race 2 is at 14:15, lasting 33 minutes plus one lap.

Murilo Rocha chega ao Velocitta motivado para etapa da NASCAR Brasil

The youngest member of the grid and the runner-up in the 2025 F4 Brasil season, Murilo Rocha powers the car prepared by Full Time. He already has familiarity with Velocitta from prior stints in the motorsport ladder, which could help him adapt to the weekend’s race program.

In the previous round at Interlagos, Murilo delivered his best performance of the season to date. He advanced into the top six in qualifying, contested his first sprint race of 2026 and clinched second place in Race 1 after trading blows for the lead in the closing stages. That result left him on 65 points, tying with Bruna Tomaselli in the rookie standings for the year.

“I’m very excited to race at Velocitta. 2026 has been full of new experiences, and I’m increasingly adapting to the NASCAR Brasil car, thanks to the solid work from the Full Time crew and the trust of the Mobil™ brand. It’s positive to push the car on a track I’ve previously raced on in formula cars, because we saw in Interlagos that knowing the layout was a key factor for performance across the whole weekend,” Murilo said.
