The 2026 Formula 2 season reaches its halfway point this weekend with the seventh round of the championship at the Silverstone circuit in England. Brazilian Rafael Câmara, who sits third in the standings, heads into the weekend’s double-header aiming at the leaders and seeking to close the gap to his rivals.
With one win this season, achieved in Barcelona, along with three podiums and two pole positions, Câmara holds 82 points, 26 behind the championship leader. Ahead of Silverstone this weekend, the driver hopes to show the progress he has made during the year and seeks a stronger performance than last year when he competed in Formula 3.

“Silverstone is a track I drove on for the first time last year. It was a weekend with rain, so it was quite eventful. In England, this is always a point that can bring excitement to the race, and surely my team and I are working to secure a good result this weekend,” Rafael Câmara said, referring to last year’s Formula 3 round.
The Formula 2 schedule in England will begin on Friday, with the lone free practice session of the weekend and the qualifying that will determine the starting positions for the two races. The Sprint is scheduled for Saturday at 9:45 a.m., while Sunday features the main event at 7:15 a.m. Sportv, GloboPlay and F1TV will broadcast the race live.
