Ai Ogura was the fastest rider on Friday the 19th during the free practice sessions for the Czech Grand Prix, the ninth round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the last of the two sessions held this morning at the Brno circuit, the Japanese rider of Trackhouse, the satellite team of Aprilia, posted a time of 1:51.735, which earned him direct entry into Q2.
Second on the time sheet went to Marco Bezzecchi, the championship leader and Aprilia rider, who was 0.091 seconds slower than Ogura. Fabio Di Giannantonio, aboard VR46’s Ducati, finished with the third-best time of the day, followed by the official Ducati duo, with Francesco Bagnaia in fourth and Marc Márquez in fifth.
Pedro Acosta, on a KTM, wrapped up Friday with the sixth-best time, ahead of Joan Mir, seventh on a Honda. Brazilian Diogo Moreira, riding an LCR Honda, ended the day eighth, followed by Fermín Aldeguer, ninth on the Gresini Ducati. Raúl Fernández, from Trackhouse, completed the top-10.
The day’s disappointment came from Jorge Martín. The championship’s vice-leader and Aprilia rider registered the 11th time in the session. Brno’s Friday also saw Álex Márquez return to the track after the serious crash he suffered at the Catalan GP. The Gresini Ducati rider finished 15th on the day.
