MotoGP: Manufacturers Sign Historic Deal Through 2031

June 19, 2026

MotoGP has confirmed a historic agreement with Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM, and Yamaha for the cycle spanning 2027 through 2031. For the first time, all current manufacturers signed a single five-year commitment to shape the next phase of the category.

The move provides grid stability and reinforces the staying power of every brand involved in the championship. The agreement establishes the sporting, technical, and commercial foundations for the coming years, with a focus on competitiveness, technological relevance, and the global growth of MotoGP.

According to the organizers, the process was built in alignment with the MSMA manufacturers and will also be accompanied by an agreement with the 11 teams, whose main terms have already been defined. MotoGP, the manufacturers, the teams, and the FIM are also working together to identify improvements in technical and sporting aspects, keeping safety as a priority and preserving the essence of the category.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of the MotoGP Group, described the announcement as a decisive moment. “The commitment of all five manufacturers not only strengthens the championship’s current strength, but also highlights the shared ambition that drives its future,” he stated. He also stressed that the objective now is to broaden the global reach, evolve the sport, and connect with new audiences.

Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing and chairman of the MSMA, underlined the unprecedented nature of the agreement. “This is the first time in the sport’s history that all manufacturers have arrived at a unanimous position in an agreement with MotoGP,” he said. For him, the growth of the category will depend on the brands working together.

The Ducati side also hailed the pact as a milestone of stability. Luigi Dall’Igna stated that the agreement creates the ideal environment for manufacturers to continue investing in technology, performance, and talent, while Honda, KTM, and Yamaha reaffirmed their long-term commitment to MotoGP and to the championship’s global development.
