Pedro Clerot Delivers Fighting Performance in Australia, Secures Top-10 Finish and Scores Points

March 7, 2026

The opening stage of the Formula 3, held this Saturday (7) at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne, ended on a positive note for Pedro Clerot. The Brazilian, who is making his debut in the category this year, completed the main race of the weekend with an eighth-place finish in a Rodin Motorsport car. The result also earned the driver his first four points in the category.

To secure a top-10 finish, Clerot had to drive a combative race. The first champion in the history of F4 Brazil started from 17th place and had to make overtakes throughout the 23 laps on the Australian urban track, ultimately securing eighth place in the final standings.

“It was a good race. I knew I had a better pace than the cars in front of me. Unfortunately, we had problems in qualifying, but we separate things, we do our job. I knew I had pace and that if I did a good job, we had a chance to score points. Of course, I had a bit of luck here and there, but I joke that we create our own luck,” Clerot said.

“We did a good job, I managed to start well, I managed to take care of the tires at the beginning of the race. That made a big difference in the end. It was my first feature race. Honestly, I think it was a good job. We managed to gain ten positions. So, I’m very happy,” the Rodin Motorsport driver continued.

“Happy to score points in our first feature, happy to be with the team. We did a good job yesterday, we already knew we had pace. I had the whole race yesterday, so it was good for us to understand a little bit, but I’m very happy, it’s just the beginning, it shows that if everything goes right in qualifying, we can fight for good positions, but that’s it, I’m just happy,” Clerot added, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.

The F3 has its second stage scheduled for April 10, 11, and 12 in Bahrain.
