Transpetro and Rafael Câmara Announce Partnership for New Formula 2 Season

February 25, 2026

The Brazilian driver Rafael Câmara, one of the leading names in the new generation of national motor racing, will be sponsored by Transpetro, a subsidiary of the Petrobras System and the largest multimodal logistics company for oil, derivatives, and biofuels in Latin America.

Through the Sports Incentive Law, with the support of the Ministry of Sports, the partnership aims to promote Brazilian sports and support the formation of young talent in a decisive phase of their career, when institutional support is essential for consolidation in high-performance sports.

Rafael Câmara is the current champion of the FIA Formula 3 (F3) and was elected “Rookie of the Year” by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). The athlete is currently part of the Ferrari Drivers’ Academy. In the same season, he stood out by becoming the first F3 driver and the first driver in the Formula 1 access categories to compete with carbon neutralization, reinforcing a commitment to sustainability, one of the contemporary challenges of sports and industry.

In 2026, the Brazilian driver takes a new step in his career by competing in Formula 2 (F2) for Invicta Racing, solidifying his path to the elite of world motor racing, in line with the recent trajectory of other young Brazilian talents in the sport.

“This support comes at a very important moment in my career. It’s when every opportunity makes a difference so that I can continue evolving and competing at a high level. Having a company like Transpetro in this process reinforces confidence and focus on the next challenges,” says Rafael Câmara.

Shared values

Transpetro’s entry as a sponsor reinforces shared values between sports and the transportation activity of products in the energy segment, such as safety, efficiency, innovation, and socio-environmental responsibility, essential pillars for both high performance on the tracks and complex logistics operations.

“Transpetro supports Brazilian sports. We sponsor amateur sports projects across the country and now we will also incentivize high-performance sports, because Rafael Câmara’s trajectory is aligned with Transpetro’s values. Supporting a young Brazilian who stands out in the national and international scene and who can reach Formula 1 is a source of pride for the company,” says Sérgio Bacci, president of Transpetro.

The sports sponsorship is part of Transpetro’s strategy to support initiatives aimed at valuing sports, human development, and talent formation, recognizing the role of sports as a social transformation agent and an inspiration for new generations.
