As the leader of the WEC standings, TOYOTA RACING is aiming for a victory in the 2026 season this weekend at the 6 Hours of São Paulo, the fourth round of the year. The drivers from the Japanese manufacturer were present at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo (SP), where the team seeks to extend its advantage at the top of both the drivers’ and manufacturers’ classifications.
Winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans alongside Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway, Nyck de Vries admits that the race in Interlagos is expected to be among the most balanced, as the rivals are close. The Dutchman also emphasizes that TOYOTA RACING is determined to give its best in the bid for a win at Interlagos this weekend.

“It’s always difficult to know exactly where we stand relative to the competition, but we will give our best and try to maximize points for the championship. Winning is hard, and there aren’t many teams that manage to win many times in a season. But we will do our best,” said De Vries, who pilots the number 7 car for the Japanese team.
After triumphing in 2024 alongside Ryo Hirakawa and Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley highlights the updates that TOYOTA RACING has introduced for the current season, which have enabled strong performances. The New Zealander also notes the importance of seizing opportunities to secure a positive result in the capital city of São Paulo.
“We will push to give our best and make the most of any opportunities that arise. We have meaningful updates that have been improving all the time. I expect to fight at the front, and certainly, we’ll give our best,” said Brendon Hartley, who drives the number 8 TOYOTA RACING car.
