Rafael Câmara has been announced as Haas’ Formula 1 driver for the 2027 season. However, the driver still needs to conclude the 2026 Formula 2 campaign, where he sits at the top of the standings.
There are two rounds left to finish the series’ calendar—Qatar and Abu Dhabi—with questions still lingering about whether they will take place. Leading the points table, he holds a seven-point advantage over Nikola Tsolov, a member of the Red Bull Junior Team.

And despite already having a guaranteed place on the F1 grid for the coming year, he wants to focus on finishing the championship strongly. “The objective is to end the season on a high note,” he told the F1 site. As soon as he finishes F2, he will turn his attention to Haas, with a planned appearance in the young drivers’ test at the end of the season.
“There are many things we need to discuss and organize. I’ll just wait for their guidance and I’ll be ready,” he added.
