TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Targets Podium Finish at 2025 WEC Season Finale in Bahrain

November 28, 2025

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing competed this Saturday (8) in the final stage of the 2025 WEC season, with the 8 Hours of Bahrain, a race scheduled to take place at the Sakhir circuit. After seven stages that spanned four continents and 64 hours of racing, the final stage will feature a race that starts during the day and ends at night in Bahrain, which is hosting the Endurance World Championship for the 14th time.

This weekend, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing heads to the Bahraini stage seeking to end a challenging season with a good result. In the last race, held at the Fuji circuit, Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries fought for the lead, and now the trio returns to Bahrain fighting for a place on the podium for the team.

Winners in the Bahraini stage in 2024, when TOYOTA GAZOO Racing won the eight-hour race for the tenth time and secured its sixth world constructors’ title, Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa head to Sakhir this year seeking redemption. In the Fuji stage, an incident with another competitor in the Hypercar class, the main class of the tournament, prevented the trio from fighting for a good result.

“This has been a challenging year for everyone on the team, but we want to end it with a positive result in Bahrain. We have great memories of racing in Sakhir, and our car has always shown good performance on this track. We’ll see if that will be the case this year, but we’re going to push until the last laps to conquer the podium again,” said Kamui Kobayashi, driver and chief of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing in the WEC.

The free practice sessions will open on Thursday (6) with two free sessions, and will continue on Friday, with another activity and qualification. The 8 Hours of Bahrain are scheduled for Saturday, starting at 8 am, with transmission on YouTube.
