The driver who defends Invicta Racing in the Formula 2 championship, Rafael Câmara will start from second on the main race of the ninth round of the season, scheduled for the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary. The Brazilian, currently third in the standings and coming off a victory in the last round in Belgium, finished one tenth of a second off pole position in Friday’s qualifying.
Câmara began the weekend activities with the fifth-best time in the sole free practice session of the weekend. In qualifying, the Ferrari Driver Academy member led the early portion of the session and was one of the last to head out onto the track for his final flying lap. At that moment, the Brazilian posted the second-fastest time, earning a place on the front row for Sunday.
