The Brazilian Rafael Câmara secured fourth place in the Sprint race that opened the ninth round of the 2026 Formula 2 season, held on Saturday morning at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary. The Invicta Racing driver started from ninth on the grid and climbed up five positions, marking his seventh top-5 finish in the championship so far this year.
From the starting positions, Câmara launched an aggressive opening move, gaining three spots within the initial metres and climbing into sixth place. Following that, the Ferrari Driver Academy driver pressed on, contesting every opportunity to secure a spot among the top five, staying in close contact with his rivals throughout the race. A collision involving Câmara’s chief title rival reshaped the order, allowing Rafael to pick up two more positions and ultimately cross the line in fourth.
