Ram presents the new Ram Dakota at an event that officially marks the start of production of the model at the Cordoba Industrial Pole in Argentina. The production of the first mid-size pickup of the brand after its independence from Dodge in 2009 will supply the Argentine market, and its launch in Brazil is scheduled for early 2026.
The Ram Dakota, which was previewed in August with the Nightfall concept, carries the name and legacy of a model that was successful in Brazil in the late 1990s, winning over a legion of fans.
“The Ram Dakota, another product developed and manufactured in our region, demonstrates the capability of our engineering and manufacturing, and is a source of great pride for us. We are entering a segment that is unprecedented for the brand, and we will bring the unparalleled power of a Ram to new audiences,” states Juliano Machado, vice president of Ram in South America.
The new Ram Dakota joins the Rampage and becomes the second pickup of the brand produced and developed outside of North America, reinforcing the manufacturer’s commitment to South America. The unit unveiled in Cordoba promotes the full debut of the new pickup in the Warlock version. This level of finish debuts in South America along with the new model and has a greater off-road vocation, with graphics that identify it positioned on the side of the cargo box.

The exterior design also features 17-inch black alloy wheels with diamond-cut edges and mixed-use tires, side steps for greater comfort, and, of course, the distinctive Rambar on the cargo box, which adds style and versatility for fixing loads and accessories on a daily basis.

Internally, the Ram Dakota Warlock exhibits the technology and luxury characteristic of a Ram, with a highlight on the exclusive interior composed of noble and soft-to-the-touch materials that cover the instrument panels and doors, as well as the front electric seats. Two screens side by side function as an instrument panel and central multimedia system, the latter being 12.3” with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and embedded navigation. Another highlight of the modern interior of the new Ram Dakota is the elevated central console, with wireless charging for cell phones, USB inputs including type C, fast charging, and object holders in the lower part and on the armrest. In terms of safety, the Ram Dakota is equipped with six airbags and a comprehensive suite of equipment for semi-autonomous driving.
The new mid-size pickup from Ram will be powered by the excellent 2.2 Turbodiesel engine, which produces 200 horsepower and 450 Nm (45.9 kgfm) of torque, and will begin to be manufactured in Argentina in 2027. The engine is accompanied by an eight-speed automatic transmission. To ensure traction in various floor conditions, the pickup features automatic 4×4 traction, with reduction and 4×2 mode activated by an electronic rotary command on the central console. There is also an electronic rear differential lock with activation by a button near the electronic parking brake.

One of the fundamental pillars of a Ram is capacity, and the new Dakota arrives presenting robust numbers, being able to carry over a ton of cargo in the lined and LED-lit cargo box, and having a volume of over 1,200 liters. When it comes to towing, the new Ram pickup is capable of towing up to 3.5 tons.
Stellantis invests R$ 2 billion in Cordoba
