Formula 2: Luke Browning Sets the Pace in Hungary

Luke Browning was the fastest driver in the sole free practice session for the tenth round of the 2025 Formula 2 season, held on Friday morning at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary. Behind the wheel of a Hitech car, the Williams academy member recorded a best lap time of 1:33.609, which remained unbeaten by his rivals.

Oliver Goethe, driving for MP Motorsport, secured the second position, 0.133 seconds adrift of Browning’s benchmark. Alexander Dunne, at the wheel of a Rodin car, completed the session in third place, while Roman Stanek, the winner of the previous round in Belgium, finished fourth with Invicta. Joshua Durksen, representing AIX Racing, rounded out the top five.

Victor Martins, driving for ART Grand Prix, posted the sixth-fastest time, followed by Arvid Lindblad, who was seventh quickest for Campos Racing. Dino Beganovic, in the second Hitech car, took eighth place, with Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport) and Gabriele Mini (Prema) completing the top ten. Championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli finished 12th with Invicta.

Qualifying is scheduled to take place at 10:55, determining the starting grid positions. The Sprint race is set for 9:15 on Saturday, while the feature race will be contested on Sunday at 17:00.
