NASCAR Brasil Unveils Innovative Duel Format for 2026 Pre-Season Racing Schedule

January 23, 2026

The NASCAR Brasil Series has confirmed a major news for the 2026 preseason: the organization of an event with duels. The special event will take place between March 14 and 15 at the Circuito Panamericano Pirelli in Indaiatuba, São Paulo, and will officially introduce the new car of the category, the RiSE26.

Originally, the event was thought of as the opening of the championship. However, with the change of positioning of the category, the official opening of the 2026 season will be held between April 11 and 12 in Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, without prejudice to drivers, teams, and the public. The change was made to broaden the reach and impact of the start of the season with the introduction of the new car.

The Duel event will have an extensive program, with great emphasis on Sunday: drivers will compete in initial five-lap battles, followed by direct duels, semifinals, and a three-lap final, in a model created to generate direct disputes at a high level. The two finalists of The Clash will be awarded with a trophy and medal, in addition to an extra “boost” for the first stage of the championship, in April. Furthermore, the final order of the duel will define the starting order for the qualifying of the season opener, adding even more weight and strategy to the challenge.

Off the track, the event was thought of as a major meeting point for national motorsport, bringing together the press, drivers, teams, and sponsors in an environment of exchange, relationship, and experience with the new car. The program may include exclusive experiences for sponsors, such as the Sponsor Driver Experience, in addition to the official Media Day of the 2026 season, concentrating the production of photos, videos, and institutional content of the category.
