Almost a month after the NASCAR Brasil oval race in Curvelo, Minas Gerais, on September 21, the Sports Justice Tribunal defined Galid Osman, from Team RC, as the winner of the Minas Gerais race.
The decision came after the team appealed a seven-second penalty for an infraction at the start. Galid dominated the final stage of the 100-mile race, but with the penalty, he ended up losing his first victory to the duo Alex Seid/Julio Campos, who were also in a strong pace.
Faced with the decision of the commissioners, Osman’s team decided to appeal the result. The TJD unanimously decided to reinstate the pilot’s victory. As there was no appeal from the category and the CBA (Brazilian Confederation of Motorsport), the decision is irreversible in the sports sphere.
With the result, Galid was reclassified in the championship, now appearing in second place in the Overall points table and leading the Special Edition.
